. She shampoos me locks .

Random dread locks appreciation post. Always been a sucker for a messy plait or dread -  it must be my inner West Indian hippy.
The Guardian sums up the story behind dreads pretty well, explaining that it's not always a religious gesture [there are plenty of misconceptions when it comes to dreads and the Rastafari movement] but more an attitude, a display of freedom, and a way of life... a romantic idea which personally I think sounds rather appealing! To get this look, you don't need to push it to the extremes of the Marley family - keep it as silky and glamorous as possible, but twist and backcomb small sections and add a few random messy plaits.
Can't decide if I want my hair pink, or like this. [Or pink dreads :O!?]
