My newest project was inspired by Nabokov's novel (and the 2 films to follow) 'Lolita', as well as the Japanese subculture which is also named Lolita. So I got together an amazing team and shot the gorgeous Georgiana from Elite models in my local park! My aim was to take inspiration from different aspects shown on the mood-board I made (shown below), and then recreate my own style in an editorial which highlights the sexualisation of youth in society today.
Some of the main pieces featured in this shoot are the designs of Corrie Nielsen - Winner of Fashion Fringe 2010. Singlehandedly fighting it out against Alice Palmer and Jade Kang, Corrie was chosen and presented the award by John Galliano and awarded £100,000, a studio at Somerset house and a slot at London Fashion Week in both Feb and Sep! So it is fair to say, this woman is going places. It was such a pleasure working with her beautifully sculpted designs and corsetry, and what a lovely woman she is. You can read more about her and Fashion Fringe HERE.
So here are my images!
